Need Fulfillment Map

Score 8 core human needs from 0 (starving) to 4 (full). The radar shows the gaps. Most anxiety shows up where one or two needs are quietly underfed.

What this solves

Anxiety that's actually an unmet need.

A lot of "anxiety" is a signal that a need is starved — rest, safety, connection, competence, autonomy. Treating the symptom (calming tools) doesn't address the cause (need deficit). The radar makes the gap visible.

Who it's for

Use it when…

  • • Calming tools have been working but the anxiety keeps coming back.
  • • A major life change has shifted your needs.
  • • You want to know where to invest your time, not just your attention.
How to interpret

A spike inward on one or two needs is more informative than a generally low shape. Look for the deepest dip — that's the one your nervous system is shouting about.

Limitations

Needs scoring is subjective. Different cultures and life stages weight needs differently. Use the map as a starting place, not a verdict.

FAQ
What if everything is low?

That's a season, not a sentence. Burnout, grief, or depression can flatten the whole map. Pick the lowest — that's the lever.

Why not safety or money?

Those are conditions for needs, not the needs themselves. Safety is the soil; the need is what grows in it.
