What this is

Not another "5‑4‑3‑2‑1" checklist.

Most anxiety sites give you the same five tips in slightly different fonts. Quietkit is built differently — every tool is a small interactive surface that does one specific thing, and that thing is described in detail on its own page. You get the tool, the reasoning behind it, when it works, when it doesn't, and what to do next.

Three principles
  • Small. One tool per page, no dashboards, no streaks.
  • Honest. We say what each tool can and cannot do.
  • Quiet. No popups, no autoplay, no email capture.

You don't need to read everything. Pick the row that sounds like your day right now.

If your body feels…
racing, chest tight, can't sit still
If your mind feels…
a thought on repeat, doom scrolling
If your day feels…
drained, decisions piling up

Honest scope

Quietkit is a self‑help toolkit, not therapy. Each tool page states its limits plainly. If you're in crisis, see the Disclaimer.

About

About Quietkit

Purpose. Quietkit is a small, focused set of 32 tools designed to help people self‑manage everyday anxiety. The aim is not to replace therapy, medication, or professional support. The aim is to give you one thing you can actually use in the next ten minutes — without signing up, downloading, or paying.

Who it is for. Adults who experience common anxiety symptoms: racing thoughts before meetings, sleep that won't settle, low‑grade background worry, social anxiety, somatic tension, or post‑stress "aftershocks." It is not designed for acute psychiatric crisis; if you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.

How tools were chosen. Each tool here maps to a known, named technique (cognitive restructuring, interoception, paced breathing, values clarification, etc.). What we changed is the interaction: most techniques have been turned into small interactive surfaces with adjustable parameters, visualizations, and an explicit "what this does and does not do" note on every page.

Limitations. Self‑help tools work best when matched to your situation, and they cannot diagnose, treat, or substitute clinical care. Several tools explicitly recommend follow‑up with a qualified practitioner. Use them as a complement, not a replacement.

Editorial standards. Tool descriptions are reviewed against current CBT, somatic, and sleep‑hygiene guidance. Where evidence is limited, we say so. We do not promise cures, transformations, or "hacks."
